Parokhet (curtain in front of the Ark) for the Synagoge of Middelburg. (weekly use)

In the middle the coat of arms of the Province of Zeeland. Water, waves, wind are important elements for the inhabitants.The multicoloured filled appliquated ribbons form a reflection of these elements.

Material used: Cotton, viscose, silk and filling material.

Technique used: stitching by hand and machine, embroidery and appliqué.

One can visit the synagoge after making an appointment.
